Exploring Purpose and Poetry

Purpose and Poetry Event

Exploring identity and meaning In August, Anglicare’s Philanthropy and Fundraising team invited long-term supporters to participate in a creative workshop hosted by poet Will Small and Veronika Peters, delving into the theme of purpose and using poetry as a vehicle for inner exploration and expression.

The workshop was both an opportunity to express our gratitude towards people partnering with Anglicare, while also sparking deeper thinking around the importance of purpose and creativity, in making meaningful impact in our own lives and the lives of those around us. Surrounded by books in the NSW State Library, around 40 Anglicare supporters participated in the workshop -  an inspiring and rich time together!

What poem would you write on the theme of Purpose?

Send your poem and we might include on in our next Care News edition to event@anglicare.org.au

Anglicare acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original and ongoing custodians of the lands and waters on which we live and work.

Inspired by the gospel of reconciliation in Jesus Christ, Anglicare's vision for reconciliation is a nation in which Australia's First Peoples are restored in dignity, respect, empowerment and opportunity.
