On 4 March 2025, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) will publish results for the 2023-24 reporting year. Anglicare welcomes the transparency of this reporting to improve accountability and motivate action by employers to accelerate progress on gender equity and improve the experience of women in workplaces.
Simon Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Anglicare Sydney, said “Gender pay equity is an expression of who we are at Anglicare, and it reflects our values of integrity and justice. We exist to serve people in need in our community, enrich lives and share the love of Jesus, valuing all people as made in the image of the living God.
“Over the past year, we’ve taken important steps as an organisation to make progress in this space. We are committed to being transparent about our progress and holding ourselves accountable,” he said.
Anglicare Sydney’s WGEA results indicate progress has been made towards its commitment to eliminate the gender pay gap. For 2023-24 reporting year, for total remuneration, Anglicare Sydney’s mean gender pay gap was zero and average gender pay gap 10.2%.
Mr Miller said, “Pleasingly, our average total remuneration gap has dropped by 1.5%,over the last 12 months and our median total remuneration is now zero. While there is more work to do, this is a positive step in the right direction.”

Closing the gender pay gap reflects Anglicare’s value of all people made in the image of the living God, with full equality of men and women in Creation and Redemption, according to Genesis 1:26–28, 2:23, 5:1–2; 1 Corinthians 11:11–12; Galatians 3:13, 3:28, 5:1.
