Under the new aged care reforms, the Australian Government has decided that everyone should contribute to the cost of their care if they’re able. If you receive a part-pension or you are a self-funded retiree, you may need to pay an Income-Tested Care Fee determined by Centrelink. If you receive a full pension and if all your required services are covered by the Home Care Package subsidy, you may not need to pay anything.
Under the new aged care reforms, the Australian Government has decided that everyone should contribute to the cost of their care if they’re able. A small portion of the hourly rate is charged to you and the larger portion is subsidised through the CHSP. Cover the cost yourself and get started straight away! Privately funded services do not require any government assistance and are not eligible for any government subsidy. Instead, you cover the full cost of your care.
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate on certain services. Please check with your health insurer to find out if a service is eligible.
