Imagine waking up in Paddington at The Terraces, surrounded by the charm of a neighbourhood you’ve always enjoyed. You love knowing that just outside are the beautiful gardens you’ve strolled through so many times, and the cafés where you’ve shared countless conversations over coffee and cake.
Today, however, starts with a visit to the physio. The regular exercises have made such a difference; each session leaves you feeling stronger, more capable, and ready to take on the day.
Community
Living in the heart of the city allows you to enjoy the energy of the hustle and bustle, but some days it’s the quiet moments outdoors with friends that bring you the most joy.
When your family comes to visit, they love gathering at the café downstairs - a cosy spot where you can enjoy the simple act of being in each other’s company (only made better with a great cup of barista-made coffee).
Dining
When lunch and dinner comes around, the dining room has a vibrant energy. Mealtimes are an enjoyable experience that you look forward to, socialising with your friends and often with a glass of wine. You’re grateful for the variety of choices and freshly prepared options the hospitality team prepares each day. Next month you’ve decided to join the food focus group to work with the team on the next menu. You have always enjoyed cooking, so you’re pleased to be involved and contribute.
Home
As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at The Terraces so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.
Yet perhaps what you value most are the friendships you’ve built since moving in. On quieter days, when you’re not up for much, it’s comforting to know that you’re surrounded by a supportive and friendly community.
You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.
This is now your home, a place where you feel safe, respected and loved.
