The gentle sound of chatter drifting down the hall as you wake to another sunny morning. There’s no need to rush, the friendly team at Newmarch House understands your routine and allow your morning to move at a pace that suits you. As you get ready for the day, your mind wanders, thinking about what you’ll have for breakfast.
At Newmarch House the day doesn’t truly start until you’ve had a coffee from Chris’ Cafe. It’s the heart of the home where you gather with friends for a carefully prepared cappuccino and sweet treat.
Community
After your morning coffee, you head outside with your friend to water the gardens and determine what new plants are required. You’ll pick those up when you head out with your son a bit later. You’ve always enjoyed gardening and are pleased you can continue doing so at Newmarch House.
In the afternoon, a group of you get together for a game of billiards – a new favourite hobby of yours. There’s always so much to do here, from live entertainment at Chris’ Cafe to the quiet pursuit of completing a puzzle, there’s a true sense of community and belonging you never expected.
Dining
When lunch and dinner comes around, the dining room has a vibrant energy. Mealtimes are an enjoyable experience that you look forward to, socialising with your friends and often with a glass of wine. You’re grateful for the variety of choice and freshly prepared options the hospitality team prepare each day. Next month you’ve decided to join the food focus group to work with the team on the next menu. You have always enjoyed cooking, so you’re pleased to be involved and contribute.
Home
As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at Newmarch House so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.
Yet perhaps what you value most are the friendships you’ve built since moving in. On quieter days, when you’re not up for much, it’s comforting to know that you’re surrounded by a supportive and friendly community.
You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.
This is now your home, a place where you feel safe, respected and loved.
