Beginning your day with the familiar comfort of a morning coffee, shared with your new friends in the café. The conversation flows easily and is warm and unhurried. Someone suggests a stroll through the gardens – it feels like the perfect way to spend the morning.
On the way, a staff member stops for a chat, asking about your family and grandkids. Their kindness and interest in your life are genuine, almost like they’ve always known you. It fills you with a quiet sense of belonging.
Community
After lunch, you sit down for a game of dominoes with a new friend who is already beginning to feel like family. The laughter comes easily, and the connection feels natural. In the distance you hear click of balls colliding on the billiards table as the men get together for beer and billiards.
Later in the afternoon, it’s time for happy hour -- something you always look forward to. You love how family members are always welcome to join in, and today, there are quite a few around to share a good story or two. The hum of conversation creates an atmosphere that is lively and warm. Dining
When lunch and dinner comes around, the dining room has a vibrant energy. Mealtimes are an enjoyable experience that you look forward to, socialising with your friends and often with a glass of wine. You’re grateful for the variety of choice and freshly prepared options the hospitality team prepare each day. Next month you’ve decided to join the food focus group to work with the team on the next menu. You have always enjoyed cooking, so you’re pleased to be involved and contribute.
Home
As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at Marcus Loane House so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.
Yet perhaps what you value most are the friendships you’ve built since moving in. On quieter days, when you’re not up for much, it’s comforting to know that you’re surrounded by a supportive and friendly community.
You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.
This is now your home, a place where you feel safe, respected and loved.
